Shannon is married to Mark Falstad, who works for the Grant County Public Utility District. They have two sons, Gunnar and Leif; both of whom have chosen to follow their father into the electrical field.

Shannon’s career with Grant County spans over thirty years, beginning in the Auditor’s office in 1996. Her dedication to public service is evident through her extensive experience and commitment to excellence. She started as a Recording Deputy, advanced to the Recording/Licensing Lead Deputy, supported the Election Department during elections, and entered accounts payable and payroll in the Auditor’s Accounting system.

Over the years, Shannon has developed strong working relationships with county officials and employees. Her comprehensive understanding of county operations and the interconnectedness of departments is particularly valuable, as the Auditor’s office collaborates with every department in the County. She has consistently demonstrated integrity, professional growth, and a commitment to public service throughout her tenure.
